Ecco un altro interessante articolo pubblicato dall'autore degli oroscopi di Sam and Dean, AlexanderR80. Questa volta A. prende in esame una possibile connessione tra Sam, i Nephilim e Azazel (lo YED).
Sono impressionata! ^_^
Enjoy!

Here is new speculation about nature of Sam Winchester.

There is a legend about Nephilim, children of fallen Angels. Let me present you couple of quote's from wikipedia. :-)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nephilim

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grigori

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azazel

The Grigori (from Greek egrḗgoroi, "The Watchers") are, in one popular version, a group of fallen angels described in Biblical apocrypha who mated with mortal women, giving rise to a race of hybrids known as the Nephilim, who are described as giants in Genesis 6:4. A different idea of the Grigori appears in some traditions of Italian witchcraft where the Grigori are said to come from ancient stellar lore.

According to the Book of Enoch, the Grigori numbered a total of 200 but only their leaders are named:

These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Azazyel (also known as Azazel).

In Enoch, the Watchers are angels apparently dispatched to Earth simply to watch over the people. They soon begin to lust for the human womenthey see, and at the prodding of their leader Samyaza, they defect en masse to marry and live among men. The children produced by these relationships are the Nephilim, savage giants who pillage the earth and endanger humanity. Samyaza, Azazel, and the others become corrupt, and teach their human hosts to make metal weapons, cosmetics, and other necessities of civilization that had been kept secret.

In the early stellar cults of Mesopotamia there were four "royal" Stars (known as Lords) which were called the Watchers. Each one of these stars "ruled" over one of the four cardinal points common to Astrology. This particular system would date from approximately 3000 BC. The star Aldebaran, when it marked the Vernal Equinox, held the position of Watcher of the East. Regulus, marking the Summer Solstice, was Watcher of the South. Antares, marking the Autumn Equinox, was Watcher of the West. Fomalhaut, marking the Winter Solstice, was Watcher of the North. In the star myths the Watchers themselves were depicted as gods who guarded the Heavens and the Earth. Their nature, as well as their "rank", was altered by the successive lunar and solar cults that replaced the older stellar cults.

The most common associations found in various texts on Medieval magic regarding the Watchers are as follows:

1. Araqiel: taught the signs of the earth. 2. Armaros: taught the resolving of enchantments. 3. Azazel: taught the making of weapons of war.4. Barqel: taught astrology. 5. Ezequeel: taught the knowledge of the clouds. 6. Gadreel: taught the art of cosmetics. 7. Kokabiel: taught the mystery of the Stars. 8. Penemue: taught writing. 9. Sariel: taught the knowledge of the Moon. 10. Semjaza: taught Herbal enchantments. 11. Shamshiel: taught the signs of the Sun.

He also lists the Watchers as the fallen angels which magicians call forth in ceremonial magic. Cavendish mentions that the Watchers were so named because they were stars, the "eyes of night."

In some witchcraft and Wiccan systems the Watchers are beings who guard portals that link worlds together.

The first appearance of the name "Azazel" is in Leviticus 16:8, when God orders the high priest Aaron to "place lots upon the 2 goats, one marked for the Lord and the other marked for Azazel" on the Jewish Day of Atonement.

The Talmud (Yoma 67b) identifies Azazel as the name of a cliff over which the goat was driven in the atonement ritual for Yom Kippur.

Azazel was translated as "scapegoat" in the King James Version of the Bible

" The whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin. "
- 1 Enoch 8:1

And Azazel taught men to make swords and knives and shields and breastplates; and made known to them the metals [of the earth] and the art of working them; and bracelets and ornaments; and the use of antimony and the beautifying of the eyelids; and all kinds of costly stones and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray and became corrupt in all their ways.

Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal (1863) describes Azazel as the guardian of goats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so if you have read my previous post, then you should remember that:

1. Sam has Antares in his horoscope. Dean can also have Antares in his.

2. Sam has Moon in Capricorn, that means Goat, and his mother and girlfriend were sacrificed. It is possible that he has other points connected with goats in his horoscope - Moon in 19 Capricorn, Moon and Venus in conjunction with stars that has reference to goats. Azazel is connected with goats.

3. Sam has unique abilities that Nephilim had.

4. It is not known for sure who was Sam's father. It is possible that Azazel is or other Grigori.

5. Azazel wanted Sam to become leader of the War. Azazel was teacher of humankind and he taught War, making of knives.

6. Ruby had a knife. Now Sam has the knife.

7. It is possible that Azazel or other Grigori loved Mary, mother of Sam. Grigori are known for their lust for human women.

8. Grigori were guardians of portals. Sam's mother and girlfriend were lifted and killed imitating Portal between Heaven and Hell.

9. I forgot to mention, that all those things above are just coincidences. :-)
